The National Climate Change Secretariat recently released a consultation document on the long-term emissions reduction strategy for the country. This public consultation paper covered such things as energy efficiency for households and industry, the carbon pricing scheme in Singapore, low carbon transport, material abatement strategies such as hydrogen and carbon capture, utilisation and storage, low carbon power, collective action and green growth strategies.
It's encouraging to see the Singapore Government taking the time to run a public consultation in this area and it fits well with the recent narratives around climate change threats to Singapore as a low-lying island state.
